With Contendr, users have the opportunity to upload video footage from their mobile, tablet, or desktop device and choose a fellow user to challenge. To keep things interesting, six categories are currently available to compete in: Dance, Art, Food, Sports, Gaming, and Miscellaneous. Just record, upload, and challenge your opponent!

Contendr offers a new social media experience. Instead of passively scrolling through feeds and liking content, users have the opportunity to fully participate in the Contendr experience. By competing in challenges yourself, or voting for your favorite contender in your challenge feed, the experience is engaging and fun.

The Team
Contendr was designed and developed by six BCIT students in an interdisciplinary team. Eilidh, Julian, and Jesse are students in the Digital Design and Development program, and were the creative minds behind the concept. After months of hard work, they passed off their prototype to the talented developers Jojo, Octavio, and Sarah, who are students in the Full Stack Web Development program. In a few short weeks, the development team has brought the project to life.
